Project SASHAKT

Project SASHAKT is a five-pronged strategy to deal with nonperforming assets (NPAs) recommended by Sunil Mehta-led committee. The inter-Creditor Agreement (ICA) is a part of this. ICA envisages effective communication among lenders and lays down some ground rules for multiple-banking agreement and consortium lending will now be taken to boards of all the banks.

Jan Arogya Yojana

PM jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) is a health insurance scheme by central government launched on 23rd September at Jharkand's capital, Ranchi. Once fully operational, this will be the worlds largest government-funded health care program, funded with 6o% contribution comming from the Central and the State. It was announced as Ayushman Bharat national Health Protection Scheme(ABNHPS) and later changed the name into PMJAY. This scheme aims at converting 1.5 lakh health sub centers into health and wellness centers. The National Health Protection Mission Aims to health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family, per annum, reaching out to 500 million people. This Scheme will benefit over 50 crore people: the poor deprived rural family and identified occupational categories of urban workers family. This would imply 8.03 core households in the countryside, 2.33 crore families in urban areas as per the scenes from the latest Socio- economic-Caste- Sensus. The insured amount of 5 lakhs would cover all investigations, medicine, pre-hospitalization expenses etc. It also covers pre-existing illnesses.

Swajal Launched 

This is the scheme launched by the Central Government to ensure the steady supply of clean drinking water in rural areas. These rural areas usually receive contaminated and harsh water which, on consumption has led to many illnesses. The project by the ministry of drinking water and sanitation launched in around 115 rural districts in India to provide clean drinking water. It will involve an outlay of Rs. 700 crore through Flexi funds under the existing National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) budget.

This is the scheme that seeks to strengthen the countries Panchayati Raj system and addresses a critical gap that hinders its success. The central government scheme aims to make rural local bodies self-sustainable, financially stable and self-efficient. It seeks to address the critical gaps the hinder the panchayats by enhancing their capacities and effectivenesses and promote devolution of powers and responsabilities. On the occasion, Modi unveiled a roadmap for the development of rural areas of Madya Pradesh over the next 5 years.

Two programs function under Ayushman Bharat Programme

Health & Wellness Center - National health policy 2017 has envisioned Health and Wellness centers are the foundation of Indias Health system. Under this 105 lakh centers bring health care system closer to the Homes of people. These centers provide comprehensive healthcare, including for noncommunicable diseases and mental and child health care services. These centers also provide free essential drugs and diagnostic services. The budget has allocated Rs.1200 crores for this flagship program. Contribution of the private sector through CSR and philanthropic institutions in adopting these centers also envisaged. 

National Health Protection Scheme - The second flagship program under ayushman Bharat is National Health Protection Scheme, which will cover over 10 crore poor and vulnerable families providing coverage upto 5 lakh rupees per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. This is the worlds largest government-funded health care program. Adequate funds will be provided for the smooth implementation of this program.
